What We Do

Daneswood provides a home for males and females aged 18+ with serve or profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex health needs. We provide 1-1 care during the day and dedicated night support.

Our aim is to allow all our residents to reach their full potential. We support and enable them to gain social and life skills through our detailed activity plans and each person has their person-centred care plan reviewed regularly.

We have regular links and contact with health and care professionals for example: G.Ps, the Somerset Learning Disability Team and other community organisations.

Daneswood provides a healing environment drawing on a number of therapeutic traditions. We create a stable environment which nurtures the individual in physical, emotional and social aspects. We aim to encourage each individual’s dignity, sense of responsibility and self-worth.
