John (Manager)

John is an experienced professional in the learning difficulties sector who has worked in the field since 2006. Before starting work with people with learning difficulties John gained a BA in Religion and Ethics in Society from the University of Wales Lampeter.

John worked for many years with Mencap in a respite home in mid-Wales before returning to the south west where he grew up. On returning to the area in 2011 John started work at Daneswood where he has been ever since, working his way up from being a Senior Support Worker, then a Team Leader before finally becoming the registered Manager in April of 2015. John has a NVQ L3 in health and social care on top of his Degree and is working towards his QCF level 5 in management at the present time.

John firmly believes that his story proves that with Daneswood everyone involved has the opportunity to achieve whatever they put their mind to. He has built up close working relationships with the young people, their families and the Daneswood Staff over the years he has worked here. John Says that ‘I feels privileged everyday’ to work at Daneswood.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Androulla (Deputy Manager)

Androulla has worked in the Care sector for many years. She has done this through a variety of roles including both care work and leading busy teams in residential care home kitchens.

She has completed a wide range of professional qualifications including her NVQ level 3 in ‘Young People and Children’, her ‘NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care’ and her ‘Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services’.

Androulla has worked for Daneswood since 2008 and is well known to all the staff and young people here. She has worked her way up from being a carer to her present position and is highly respected by all.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Alison (Team Leader)

Alison has worked in the care sector for thirteen years since 2002, starting in community care supporting the elderly in their homes, which she did for five years. She then moved up to the initial response team setting up services and support plans for people being discharged from hospital, which she did for twelve months before joining us here a Daneswood in March 2007.

Alsion started as a support worker and quickly gained her level three in Health and social care, she was then promoted to become a senior support worker and in June 2015 was promoted to Team Leader.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Dianne (Team Leader)

Dianne has worked in the care sector for over 25 years. During this time she has fulfilled many roles and gained a great deal of experience, starting out in the field of elderly care she progressed to gaining a NNEB diploma while working with young children before moving to Daneswood.

During her time at Daneswood she has progressed from working as a support worker through to her present position as a team leader. Dainne has completed her QCF level 5 in Health and Social Care.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Neil (Team Leader)

Neil Buchanan has over twenty years of experience working in the care sector. For the last ten years he has line-managed care and supported living homes, providing unique, individualised care and support to adults with learning disabilities.
